Extended Endocrine Therapy Following 5 Years of Adjuvant Luteinizing Hormone-Releasing Hormone Agonist in Premenopausal Patients With Node-Positive, Hormone Receptor–Positive Breast Cancer: A Cohort Study
https://t.co/PIsZCQZavJ
This cohort analysis evaluated extended endocrine therapy 💊after five years of LHRH agonists in premenopausal women with node-positive, hormone receptor–positive early #BreastCancer . Among 501 patients, extended therapy significantly improved invasive and distant recurrence-free survival compared with stopping therapy.
Five-year invasive disease–free survival was 85% versus 78%. Benefits occurred without increased fractures or major cardiovascular events, supporting extended therapy as a clinically meaningful strategy for high-risk young patients after treatment.
