@cml_smith i’ve had plenty of probs with nhs admin but i don’t think the probs with rotas are solely the fault of rota coordinator or the trust; trainees don’t belong to the trust
@cml_smith phoning up doctor colleagues (and patients) is and will always be an important part of nhs work, email just doesn’t work for many interactions
the problem is the system and having to write a rota to keep the service safe with doctors rotating and moving in and out of training
@cml_smith you just don’t know what’s going on when people don’t answer emails they could be sick or have left or have died (yes i have emailed someone in our trust who had sadly died )
@cml_smith i’m really sorry you are cancelling but in any aspect of life if you don’t get an answer to an email/s try phoning and find out what’s happening
ED is open 24/7 and any of the docs in training there would be able to tell you over phone which cons is in charge of trainees
@cml_smith i’d always recommend contacting the unit training lead and the clinical lead for these sort of things, they are the ones working on the floor with trainees
@TalkTalk How do I get my TalkTalk TV box delivered? We’ve had 2 failed engineer dates, I have tried the phone Line and it directs me to webchat, I tried webchat and no help, I emailed a complaint and no response
Congratulation to our new Band 8 in 4South @mathenge_maggie. We are all proud of her and privilege to have worked alongside a hard working and kind hearted Matron. @drkatieward has worked with her for almost 18 yrs and can be testament for her exemplary character❤️❤️❤️.
@AnushaRohit@DrNeilStone Lupus patients always get an ECG to look for cardiac involvement; but dose used in UK RECOVERY trial for HCQ in Covid was much higher than lupus dose of 200-400mg (it was malaria dose)
@MattHancock Holy 💩! I’ve been prescribing an unapproved medication all this time?
Also worth citing the NNT, which is 8, and the fact that in covid-19 where the patient is not requiring oxygenation support, it could lead to harm...
@ChrisMasonBBC only thing that stops the glasses steaming up with mask is tape over the top of nose (not a good look) #masks#COVID19 PS have u had a day off this week??
Medicine is an art and a science. Watching how a patient walks into the room and the expression on their face gives me 100 non-verbal clues as to their state of health and mind. Telephone clinics have their place but don’t replace clincial skills.
