8/ "We can’t let “airborne” be a dirty word. Instead, increased public attention to the air we breathe is an opportunity to dedicate science, technology, and policy tools to ensure that the air in our buildings is clean and healthy."
Florida's excess death rate was *4 times* higher than MA & 3x higher than NY, Aug-Dec 2021.
Fascinating paper @JAMA_current on how life expectancy & health in some states is plummeting as state leaders adopt positions that are bad for health. https://t.co/ulOGBzTaii
@bayleebees@itslivsworld He was my first college professor too! Maybe when former students turn into tenured colleagues, it’s time to think about retirement 😂. Seriously though, I loved his class and still think about the things I learned from him my first semester in college.

1/ THE PENDULUM OF HISTORY OF AIRBORNE TRANSMISSION
As we revise our paper on this (https://t.co/GiDblohdxr), we've added draft diagram to summarize the history visually:
It'll be a few more days till we submit, so please reply with comments, clarifications, suggestions etc.
“as we move toward the possibility of #COVID19 becoming endemic” sure is a weird way to say “while we are currently in the middle of the largest #COVID19 surge of this pandemic”
@le_petit_ari Ventilation is key to reducing concentration of the virus in the air. Inhalation is the most common route of infection. Open windows (even a crack is better than nothing). You can also run the fan in your HVAC (set to auto) to filter the air.
#DontLookUp filming began early 2020. Its script was written pre-2020. While it was intended as a metaphor for climate change, it far better represents the pandemic. I haven't seen climate scientists saying they can't bear to watch it. I *do* see epis & HCWs saying so. 7/x
My real question is: "Did you EVER consider reading a SINGLE social science paper on cognitive bias, public attitude formation, tribalism, vaccine hesitancy, science communication, health literacy, or anything related to these? Have you read anything about epistemology?" 4/x
