The most important discipline you can bring into your life is: “What I know, I know. What I do not know, I do not know.” Do not imagine and assert things not in your experience. All philosophies and beliefs are rooted in this lie. Only if you see “I do not know,” will the possibility of knowing open up.

Everyone’s obsessed with longevity like they’ve secured a contract with the future…..
You haven’t.
Tomorrow isn’t promised.
So maybe focus less on adding years…and more on making the ones you have actually feel good and healthier…..
@nypost Remember when they called loss of taste and smell due to COVID “mild”… And I said, “well, loss of taste/smell is also an early symptom of other devastating neurologic diseases like Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease. That this is NOT mild.”
Well, here it is.
I'm really curious about how some folks define "winning" & "greatness" as now paying as much for an LA-Chicago RT economy flight as I did for LA-Seoul pre-2016.
Explain it to me like you actually want me to understand.
Making sure both sides of our body are operating similarly can go a long way towards reducing injury risk. The Single Leg Deadlift is an incredible way to audit that & improve strength & symmetry at the same time.

Conflate, confuse, condemn, and all with no control.
Just enough partially informed folks on all sides with echo-chambered data to give them the enthusiasm to raise hell with no thought to the consequences.
Having skill or expertise in one area rarely qualifies as expertise in all platforms. Stay curious and keep an open mind. There can always be something to learn.
People don't want to face the reality of how the things they do say a lot about their character, nor do they have any tolerance for the consequences that should (but often don't) follow.
Honestly, I think this is a major part of the vicious cycle of disease(s) in the US. People are either too stressed to sleep well or too vigorously chasing debauchery that they have negligible awareness of how critical recovery is.
A good system of real-world fighting should have maximum alternatives to be able to make some of it functional even when injured. You may not be able to do all the techniques, but you'll have some working options.
If it only works for the most athletic, it's just sport.

I'm so tempted to get this #MaceWindu ring by @EnsoRings just so I can feel more at ease saying "I wish a MFer would." #StarWars https://t.co/wBaOHBLftr
Probably one of the most important things for us all to read this time of year.
Equally as important to invest the time to learn how to preserve our own peace when around potentially irritating types and model those strategies for our kids to emulate. #protectionthroughpoise
One of my favorite quotes is the one from Marcus Aurelius: ‘The happiness of your life depends upon the quality of your thoughts.’
I think it’s always good to remember it.
