“Those who can make you believe absurdities can make you commit atrocities.”
— Voltaire
"If you want to increase suffering, you fundamentally get people to battle their own internal experiences. You learn not to trust your emotions, you judge them as symptoms." We are facing an epidemic of iatrogenic harm. Manufacturing a disease to sell more drugs. There are better ways. @DrMakaryFDA
SSRI's are destroying marriages. Thousands of spouses are reporting the same nightmare: their partner started antidepressants and became an emotionally dead stranger who destroyed their family without remorse. This isn't depression. It's drug-induced sociopathy.
Forget about all the international drug regulatory warnings against SSRI's for increased violence and suicide. Or the fact that psychiatrists place people on a cocktail of mood and mind altering drugs that have been implicated in mass shootings.
It's the guns. That's the problem
What if the condition we identify as bipolar disorder was historically identified as episodic with high recovery rates and it didn’t become disabling and chronic until the modern drug era?
History matters
I am deeply concerned by the pervasive distortion of our understanding of mental health, a result of decades-long pharmaceutical industry deception. This collusion with the psychiatric medical establishment misrepresents scientific findings and inaccurately portrays psychiatric presentations as discrete and immutable medical diseases necessitating pharmaceutical treatment.
Now we fight back.
You aren't skeptical enough of the medical cult.
Father did jail time because he had to bring a gun to the hospital to force the medical staff to keep his son, they said was dead, on life support.
Eventually the Father was proved right as his son made a full recovery.
Problems w/ focus & task completion are real. ADHD is not. You are not struggling because of "your ADHD"... but you may have: nutrient deficiencies, a phone addiction, worry, poor health, sleep problems, sedentary lifestyle or a myriad of other problems to be addressed.
It's not impossible, but what are the chances that the likely first-ever reported case of a newborn dying from a splenic laceration due to congenital measles would just happen to be:
-reported by a governor trying to increase vaccination rates,
-who described a newborn as "unvaccinated," and
-contradicted by the doctor performing the autopsy, who ruled out measles as a contributing factor.
Whatever your politics, that combination looks fairly implausible. It rightfully raises genuine questions that shouldn't be dismissed as conspiracy theories.
Even if you believe there may be a place to experiment w/ SSRI's/antidepressants for the most severe & chronic depression (not showering, not getting out of bed, unable to contribute to society.. for an extended period f time) this actual severity is statistically so rare most people reading this have never experienced this severity of depression nor know anybody like this in their life. Understand... this is not who we are prescribing these drug to. There would be no financial market to limit the drugs to this very small population. We are mass prescribing this to the range of normal... and creating mass harm.
2/2 We can reverse course but it requires a grassroots movement. An alignment of all conscious and ethical healthcare professionals. A rebellion from parents to resist the nonsense being pushed in primary care. The courage to restrict phone access and delay it as long as possible. The willingness to intervene when school personnel overstep boundaries. The courage of harmed adults to continue to speak out against psychiatric diagnoses and drugs.
No more bystanders.
1/2 Gen Z is being taught: Boredom and forgetfulness is "ADHD", Feeling lonely and sad is "Depression" and any form of anxiety is some symptom of an underlying disorder. The psychiatric industrial complex & their alignment with the pharmaceutical industry is creating mass harm. A mental health and identity crisis of epic proportion.
🚨TONIGHT at 7PM ET! Off the Record's success opening HighWire Plus last Friday, the biggest Friday audience ever, means we are doing it again! This week's deep dive is with Dr. Roger McFillin (@DrMcFillin) on the medicalization of America and what's happening inside psychiatry.
Dr. McFillin says intervening in nature, whether with pharmaceuticals or psychiatric drugs, carries a hubris that assumes we can predict long-term outcomes we've never actually evaluated. He sees emotional distress not as illness but as a signal meant to be moved through, not muted. He draws a direct line from that thinking to the chronic disease and mental health epidemics playing out now.

We cannot deny that rates of what we call "mental illness" sky rocket along with disability rates once we start mass prescribing psychiatric drugs to the population.
Or can we?
