19 years ago, Halo 3 released.
A game so polished that it is STILL unmatched in what it released with.
In 2007, it had:
-A robust campaign with skulls for replayability
-Ranked mode
-Social playlists with no SBMM
-Forge mode
-File share to share best moments + modes
-Theater
GTA 6 open world robberies are insanely detailed and one of the most important activities in the game, including robbing banks in the open world. Here are the highlights
- Making money outside of missions is an important part of the game, and is no longer completely separate from the story
- Every single store in the game can be robbed
- There are points in the story where you will need to get a specific amount of money in order to progress, this can be done by doing open world robberies and other side activities like racing
- Every store's robbery is unique in some way, whether thats holding up hostages or needing to worry about CCTV cameras
- Loot like jewelry has to be sold to a fence before it can be turned into useable money, similar to RDR2's fences system
- There are many different types of robberies in the open world, such as small stores to jewelry stores to banks and criminal hideouts
- Some robberies have to be unlocked through exploration or through side/main mission progress by knowing the right people
- Rockstar has added a ton of new things to spend money on, fixing the problem of having too much money with nothing to spend it on in previous GTA games
- Much of the robberies footage in the Extended look was just open world activities, not missions
The robberies system sounds so fun, it feels like a new direction for GTA where it always felt like just basic robberies that a criminal would do, was never a hugely important part of the experience until now. RDR2 had a few unique opportunities with unique backrooms in stores that were some of my favorite side activities and it seems like this is expanding on that idea massively. Cannot wait for this game man.
