@cogecohelps It’s not about the wait times it’s the fact that I waited the duration of time on hold to only be told we are now closed call back tomorrow despite having waited. This is an amateur level business process. Either cut off calls at a certain time or serve those you told to hold.

@cogecohelps how does it make sense that your billing dept is open til 7pm so I call in at 6:30 and sit on hold for 40 mins until 7:10 and then I’m told sorry the dept is closed

@Anniekidder @SMHO_SMSO @YMHCanada None of this is surprising when looking at the impact of addictive smartphone use amongst kids/youth… even if we fix many of the other factors students are already dealing with a wellness deficit caused by smartphones they can’t climb out of…start by removing phones in class

@ZackTeitel Probably a negotiation tactic - no intention to do it but dangles it so the union folds on another issue disguised as “bargaining” & makes a good sound bite. There is an increase in costs from a custodial angle alone to run full programming. I wouldn’t take the bait personally.

@Stephen_Hurley Essential can’t be pinned down to one view because the concept of “our” concept of school will vary based on the stakeholder ie. Individual, parents, society, economy etc… and school has to serve all - I think schooling should aim to build competency & peaceful existence in all
