Watching Rollergames - A 1989 show combining roller-derby, fake-wrestling, cheerleaders, and *alligators*. Also, apparently, predicting the future. https://t.co/eOrbKw64bP
Before moving to the US 20+ yo me thought tenure was spelled "tenyear" bcs of how long it takes to get. Today I received a letter informing me I am now officially tenyeared. I think past me would have been thoroughly impressed to learn it only took me half that time to get there.
I know we always say "we're excited" about pubs but this one really is unique. Officially we worked on it for a year or two, but it is actually the result of a decade of discussions (well, arguments) between me and
@ophiryotam. If you're interested in framing give it a read!
Pub Alert! Introducing new @Journal_of_Comm publication: “Meta-theorizing framing in communication research (1992–2022): toward academic silos or professionalized specialization?”, by @DrorWalter and @ophiryotam. Read here: https://t.co/OToTti2guz

New Publication: @DrorWalter & @ophiryotam argue scholars' focus on Russia / IRA hinders important nuances and variation in trolls/bots activity and analyze 6 campaigns (~10 million tweets) to show differences in scope, volume, and propaganda techniques https://t.co/o7gNqS6wi7

@TheJDruck@lawrence_jay1@Texas_Made956 Oh, I see - conspiracy theories. Should have said so from the start. You know, I heard the Jews are behind this whole thing :-0
@TheJDruck@lawrence_jay1@Texas_Made956 I love how few can mean basically anything. And "coming out of TLV" also means basically nothing, so good work there as well.
@JosephineLukito We as a discipline really need to have conversation about direct scraping, and journal regulations. The current don't ask don't tell policies might not be enough going forward...
New publication alert: Democracy Amid Crises is now available! https://t.co/pNVTNqjVcC
This is an effort from 11 scholars to make sense of 2020 through a 11-wave panel of 9K respondents. In a 488 page book, there are tons of findings, but a few select ones:
Give it a read here: https://t.co/OvXNbTG8Qg
Or take a look at @OphirYotam ’s thread on the main findings with some cool visualizations:

It took 6 years but I actually finally followed-through on a “future researchers should” paragraph (from my first publication, no less). The paper, (with @ophiryotam @MeredithPruden@GuyGolan) analyzing the framing of 55 foreign countries, is now out at: https://t.co/OvXNbTG8Qg
Saddest news. I don't think there is a book I read more times than his introduction to content analysis.
Klaus was one of the best professors I ever had, an amazing mentor, a person you can always turn to for advice, and the best Santa Klaus.
It is with great sadness that we share the news that Professor Emeritus Klaus Krippendorff has passed away at the age of 90. A giant in the field, Klaus was a vital part of the Annenberg community for more than 50 years. A full obituary is forthcoming.
