To all my AnCap frens, it’s quite important for you to read this as it deals with if an AnCap society will break down and answers in the most sophisticated way in the literature to date:

@PNothingness@skyatmosa When you make these types of images characterizing a subgroup it comes off not as a critique of the narrower subgroup but as the group in general imo
@PNothingness@skyatmosa Is it valid for white queers though? They certainly are not more racist compared to the general population, maybe compared to leftists but I doubt that too honestly
@econ_robinson@PNothingness It’s a general concept that applies to any change in a system in the real world. I told you multiple times I do not have the direct type of evidence I think you are looking for but these types of costs are more or less a priori
A good rule is to never take out your phone to show someone a thing you’re talking about.
No matter what it is, it will ruin the convo 100% of the time.
@econ_robinson@PNothingness That’s fine lol. But when you lead with like 4 questions in a row it seems like you’re trying to trap me instead of just honestly asking. Here’s some links to the concept, I don’t know if the historical analysis exists though.

@econ_robinson@PNothingness Idk if they have been worked out, or more precisely mitigated. Like I said, I do not have empirical data here. My patients is kinda waring thin with the beating around the bush though
@econ_robinson@PNothingness I’m not an econometrician nor economic historian, and like I said, I do not have empirical data here, I’m much more on the theory side of it. Do you deny there aren’t transition costs? It seems the real question is do the benefits outweigh them.
