I'm a 54 year old writer and researcher, specializing in the 1912 Titanic disaster, ghosts and a few other niche subjects, like tinkering with computers.
I'm going to be spending very little time on X from now on. If you want to join me on Bluesky, my main page is https://t.co/jFIRMbHCZ1
and my Titanic stuff is at https://t.co/l7lwGDuZ1c
A day of mixed fortunes. My wife had her last chemo session of this cycle today.
And I had some encouraging news about my London research trip.
Both of these news fragments have made my stomach churn in both anticipation and excitement.
@danny_robins There's a local case that went on for decades. Not quite as well documented (especially the later years) but having spoken to the main, surviving witness, just as compelling.
@hauntedmagazine Me: Lauda
You: (yelling) Does anyone know the surname of that Grand Prix driver who drove for Ferrari, first name Nikki and won the title three times, please?

I'm planning a research trip to London but funds are very tight at present - could some of my followers spare a bit of money to help please?

The definitive book on the South Shields Poltergeist (I didn't mention a Spring Heeled Jack book previously as the definitive work by Mike Dash is coming out soon)

@David__Brunt@Dene71 Don't forget that UK Gold refused to show it, saying that it hadn't stood the test of time. They were swamped with complaints. I think they scheduled it a little time later.
@DrFrancisYoung@theo_nash@AntigoneJournal I worked for CUP about 15 years ago. They announced that they were going POD soon before I left. Because of this they could downsize (no warehouses needed) and move their operations elsewhere.
@LRoundels@DW_MidJourney Someone who worked on both stories said that one director didn't seem to know what he wanted and changed his mind while the other called the shots and treated it as routine. People assumed that it was Harper in the second description - he was actually the first one.
