Professor and Historian. Find me on Post and Threads: @drrichloos; or @wanderinghistorian.bsky.social. Nebraska raised; Kansas and New Mexico alum; now Colorado
One of our local Colorado whiskeys just won best in the world at the London Spirits competition; I managed to grab a bottle before is disappeared off the shelves. I think it deserved.
@curioustravTV@visitportugal@DiscoverGRcom You bet, Christine. I have done a lot of historical tour guiding as an academic, but have learned a lot from you, Samantha Brown, and Rick Steves.
This weeks marks 35 years since our first date in Gainesville, Florida. We married in New Mexico, lived in Nebraska and Montana, and settled in Colorado. Two great kids, a perfect son in law, and two wonderful grand kids later and here we are.
I lost my close friend of 25 years today. Dr. Ed Crowther hired me at ASU and was my chair and mentor until he retired in 2018. Check out his edited book, The Enduring Lost Cause: Afterlives of a Redeemer Nation (2020). Great professor, impacted thousands of students.
Music is my jam and escape. I had a good year of live shows. Here they are in random order:
1. Billy Joel, Coors Field, July.
2. Rolling Stones, Empower Field, June.
3. Journey/Def Leppard/Cheap Trick, Coors Field, September.
4. Templed By Turtles, Red Rocks, July.
@cinwick MLB canโt ask for more in this series. So much star power, two great clubs, and the two largest tv markets. I am hire judge will get going. Stantonโs homer was also dramatic.
