๐โจ Discipleship isn't a "Do-It-Yourself" project! While we love a good DIY challenge, faith was never meant to be tackled alone. True discipleship means walking together, learning from each other, and letting the Word transform us in community.
I was so glad to host the first ever Mere Methodism Conference this weekend, organized by the John Wesley Institute. We had a great turnout. And we had speakers from the broad Wesleyan tradition: UMC, GMC, Nazarene, Wesleyan Ch., and Church of God, Cleveland.
The JWIโs Next Methodism Summit II held last month was a positive, hopeful, and Spirit-empowered gathering with the sole purpose of promoting holiness, the freedom and wholeness of Godโs holy love. Look for our work to be available in the months ahead.
When storms come your way, do you fret and dwell upon them? Or do you look for other ways that God may be working in the situation? Rather than focus on the rain and the wind blowing all around, the call of the Christ is to focus on the presence of God.
There is something profound about sharing a meal with someone else. It opens doors of conversation, makes emotional connections, and builds community. That's one way you can bless the teens in your life.

God has created in every one of us a desire to know Him and His purposes for our lives. Followers of Jesus share their faith in Christ with others because the Holy Spirit has pierced the darkness in their own lives with Godโs wonderful light.
Picture this: The most diverse gathering of methodist/wesleyan emerging pastors from the US and 5 other countries. All hungry for a move of God!
We welcomed 72 new AMEZ, CME, AME, UMC, GMC (yes, both together!), and Wesleyan members to the @worldmethodist Order of The FLAME
The Bible reminds us that two people can help each other out when needed, but there is an extra measure of strength when three or more work together.

@swanck During the defense of my masterโs thesis my interviewing committee members got uncomfortable with the silence. They began to fill it in by arguing with one another by the questions they themselves asked. The more I remained silent, the more they made my argument for me! ๐
