CBI identifies and arrests the kingpin of NEET-UG paper leak - a chemistry professor from Latur, P V Kulkarni.

Kulkarni was involved in the process of examination on behalf of NTA. He had access to the question papers.

During the last week of April, 2026, he had mobilized students, with the help of another accusednamely Manisha Waghmare and conducted special coaching classes for these students at his residence in Pune.

He dictated the questions along with options and the correct answers during these special coaching classes and the questions so dictated were handwritten by students in their notebooks and have exactly tallied with the actual question paper of NEET-UG 2026 Examination.

Hence , when the incompetent people at the top , year after year, cannot even prevent unfair means , and as a cover up cancel conducted exams , I am sorry to say these officials must be publicly made to resign and named and shamed .

And this from a perspective from an 18 odd year old ? Daunting to say the least

What does this mean for the candidate ?
You may have worked your ass off during the last 2 years - achieved excellent marks in all the mock tests before
But it all boils down to what you do in those 3.5 hours and 200 MCQs

- The social uplift meant of a poor family from a taluka place
- the aspirations of illiterate but proud parents

What we don’t consider is the fact that many families put their entire savings into the education of their children.

Not just that , many parents keep a hold on their own professions for a week or so , just as a moral support and for the mental well being of their own child.
Mind you , these are late teens who may not have the insight nor the mental toughness to deal with exams like these

Let me paint the gravity of the situation
About 22.9 lakh students applied for NEET UG 2026 in order to possibly gain access to 1.30 lakh MBBS seats.

What does that mean to them ?
- a possible means to earn a dignified livelihood later in life
- a channel to serve millions
