In two samples there were regions with the raman signature consistant with beta pleeted sheet amyloid type formation. That does not tell us what proteins are organized in this pathologic structure. The anomalous intravascular casts are not ordinary blood clots.

Researchers examining them under the microscope found structures that formed while blood was still flowing — meaning they developed in living people, not after death.

When extracted, they resemble silicone casts of the blood vessels themselves, complete with arterial branching.
