She nearly jumps and quickly fixes her face, scowling a bit at home before shaking her head.
“Nooo…I don’t think so. I just didn’t like them eyeing me like that. I have to assert dominance.”
Billy appears from the change room at the exact moment she did this, and he stood there.
Not so silently judging.
“Should I be concerned or something?”
“You need to eat, so yes, you’re invited to supper!”
She sees a couple of basketball players eyeing her and growls at them, holding out her hands like claws.
Why does he put up with this?
The blonde grunted a response and then pulled the shirt, first over his arms and then over his head, letting it soak up the residual wetness from his locks.
“If that’s you asking me to supper, you could have just said so..”
“Your manners made an appearance! I love it, thank you!”
She happily claps and scampers out the door.
“Get clothes on! I have enough spaghetti to feed an army!”
@AnamCaraSoul He gave a side eye as one of the smokes rolled free from the box and brought it to his lips.
Soon after he quickly found his lighter and flicked it a couple times. “You ever played poker? You might be pretty good at it then . . .”
Good thing the last thing Billy needed or wanted was to have someone mother him.
“Privacy? Is that before or after Neil took off my door?” He commented offhandedly and drummed his hands against the steering wheel.
“Quarry’s always a good place, or better yet, the next town —
“Well yeah, anywhere but that void of an place. I would offer to help clean it up but I also want to respect your privacy.”
She scowled a bit at the sight of him driving without his seatbelt on. She didn’t feel like taking on the motherly role right now.
@AnamCaraSoul “Strange concept.” He scoffed out, taking a hand away from the steering wheel and started to reach around to the centre console to grab the beat up cardboard carton of smokes.
“Caring, I mean.” But what he really meant, was that it was strange to him to be cared about.
@AnamCaraSoul Billy fell silent. Silently agreeing with Luci without saying so.
It wasn’t like he would disagree with anything, given it was all true. “I thought we were picking up snacks, unless you were holding out on me . . . ?”
An annoyed growl bubbled in the back of Billy’s throat at his raised his hand began wiping away the bits of pie crust and filling from his face.
“Then you’d be expected to pay for my laundry . . .”
Looking up at the other now.
"And what if it wasn't?"
Shaking her hand off to the side of her, small little drops of filling and whipped topping hitting the ground.
"What would you do about it?"
