Mass emigration from USSR happened during 1917-1933, but it was primarily urban elites, nobles, intellectuals, officers, and some middle-class people (White Russians, ~1–2 million total).

Rural Kulaks ignorant and wealthy with their farming land, rarely joined these flows.
