⚖️ They didn’t summon him to find the truth. They summoned him because the file was already sealed.

First came the quiet work. Call logs lifted from senators who were never told. Gag orders slipped to the phone companies so the paper would move and the names would not. Messages from 44 members of Congress swept into a conspiracy folder like loose change in a raid.

Then came the calendar. Public Integrity warned him that a trial date pressed against an election would look like politics. The date moved anyway. A superseding indictment followed on August 27, 2024, five weeks before Election Day. The accused won. The cases died. The prosecutor did not.
