@pickover Many people gave the right answer already. Pentagon has 3 distinct triangles, 180*3 =540. A polygon on n sides will always have n-2 distinct triangles. Therefore the sum of interior angles can be generalized to 180*(n-2) where n is the number of sides to the polygon!
