@ronsterd89 Not sure where you are but median 1 bedroom rents here are about $1400. That would require a full time worker to make $8/hr to afford that rent. So at $17 there is room for utilities, food, etc.

@CRF226 @ronsterd89 Who is going to work the grocery store, fast food, and restaurants when kids are in school. The “kids part time job” is a myth. There was a time in our country where you could work full time at a retail store as N adult and afford to live.

@alphafox @pwuranium I’ve been to many countries where servers are paid a living wage/salary and tipping is not expected. Always fantastic service. We need to eliminate the tipping mentality and make companies pay their staff a livable wage.
