Today, the MN Senate passed a resolution ending @GovTimWalz's emergency powers moving forward. The legislature can work together with the governor to do the right thing. COVID is not over, but we are ready and prepared. Let's move Minnesota forward!
For 3+ months, seniors in long-term care have been on lockdown while COVID ravaged many of their facilities. But where's the concern for them?
@GovTimWalz & his administration are failing Minnesota seniors. And I'm going to say it again & again & again until something changes.
...and four other lives are ruined forever because of 15 minutes of stupidity and whatever else made what they did seem ok. Even I feel like less of a person because of who I am and what I haven’t done. Folks we have to do better. Dear Lord show us the way.
So the last 2 months Ive walked the streets of St Paul nightly getting exercise. I’ve have gotten to know in a small way many of the folks who make the streets their home. What I see is often sad. Mental illness, apparent drug abuse, despondency. It is with this backdrop....
...and w/o knowing precise circumstances of what happened in Minneapolis last night, that I nevertheless believe what I saw on FB was among the most disgustingly repulsive acts of humankind I’ve witnessed. Mr Floyd didn’t deserve to be choked to death. His life is lost forever...
I am pleased to announce our $1.4 billion Senate bonding bill, which focuses on infrastructure, jobs & economic growth. It includes funding for an interchange at Hwy 14/CR104 in Olmsted Co, a grant to @flyrst, Oronoco wastewater infrastructure & more https://t.co/tGD1sH8jTm
In honor of, and with sincerest congratulations to, all 2020 high school graduates who will not be able to walk the stage, I offer my class picture. Hayfield High School, 1960
Looks like Majority Leader @_RyanWinkler didn’t like our message today on Insulin. “Character is what you do (when you think) no one is watching." #mnleg#Insulin4All
NOW: @mnhealth says Mayo Clinic has helped clear up the backlog of #COVID19 lab testing, at one time nearly 2k samples. MDH expects to be able to keep up with samples going forward.
Been a long time but I did a 5k along the river today. Not easy by any means but going to work at it and get better. Want to do a couple races this summer 🏃
Nobody, I think all would agree, should have to go without a lifesaving medication such as insulin. Great to see this pass with unanimous support today. https://t.co/dFLOA4ehjL
Thanks @DSenjem for meeting with us this morning! We appreciate our conversation about fully funding schools and getting more support for our paras #WeAreTriton#InspireExcellence
Winona State faculty were at lobby days educating legislators about the value of public higher education and advocating for the investments that will keep our campuses strong! Thank you @jeremyrmiller@GenePelowski@RepPoppe@DSenjem!
Was glad to speak with @ACEC_National during their day at the Capitol. These are the folks designing our highways, bridges, transit, stadiums, high-rises, schools, hospitals & more. They're advocating for a robust infrastructure package. Thanks for the great meeting! #mnleg
This week my #CleanEnergyFirst bill passed its first committee with bipartisan support. This is not a mandate, but instead will make Minnesota a true leader in energy innovation & job creation for decades to come. It's the future! https://t.co/sRFoIDULMV
Thanks to @NCSRCCarpenters for showing us their first-class training facilities in Rochester. We discussed the need to keep our economy growing, expand the skilled workforce and protect excellent healthcare benefits for trade workers. Thanks to @DSenjem for accompanying me. #MN01
