This study used generalized full matching on propensity scores with g-computation, DAG-based confounder selection, dose-response analyses, and multiple sensitivity analyses including tipping-point analysis for OTC exposure misclassification.

Using siPREG data (264K pregnancies over 20 years; ~20K exposed), we found no increased risk for major birth defects following first-trimester NSAID exposure (ibuprofen, naproxen, diclofenac, etodolac and others).
