The level trauma of being a neurodivergent person raised in an ableist world is absolutely underestimated. Many of the clients I encounter have levels of trauma that could qualify them for a diagnosis of PTSD.

TODAY is the day, 3:30 pm Eastern #OAH22! K-12 and higher ed faculty welcome. Spanish "fluency" not required! (and what is fluency anyway? My sociolinguist colaboradora @DraCHolguinM will explode your brain on this question, as she's exploded mine for the past 8 years)

Happy U.S. pub day to Olga Tokarczuk's wonderful historical novel THE BOOKS OF JACOB. For @lithub, I wrote about how I translated each sentence of my favorite passage, on God as omnisensitive oyster: https://t.co/EGdvWn9lhS
@leibowitzadak@RaffiMagarik@JewishCurrents@ArielleLAngel I do not disagree. I almost quoted that line from Leviticus instead. But let's not pretend that some basis for a value of solidarity, even if grounded in rebuke, isn't there. **And, again, I've no inclination to rehabilitate the original position
@TheRaDR Leave it to @TheRaDR to write one sentence that, on its own, could be a reading in an ADR course: "you totally are allowed to not be nasty to people whether or not you are just learning a thing!"
