When Congress fails to agree on funding for any federal agency which then leads to a shutdown and failing to pay workers such as this situation with the TSA, all members of congress should have their paychecks halted. Thats simple, let’s see how long “disagreements” last then.

Based on the headline, the bond purchase came DAYS AFTER the deal was made public. Also, dont think a $500k purchase of those bonds is going to somehow impact the price of those bonds in the secondary market? Bonds dont move like Stocks.

@jamestalarico I fail to see the logic with your argument, James, I see and aplaude the humanity, but fail to see how “taxing out of existence” ends poverty. Even if the tax revenue by doing so was enough (it’s not) Do we really believe Gov. can allocate funds effectively enough to end poverty?
