Take a moment and listen to this absolutely bizarre story from Holly Holm about her meeting with the referee before her first fight with Stefanie Han in Puerto Rico.

It just shows how some people in boxing view MMA fighters. Holly is not just an MMA fighter, she's an International Boxing Hall of Famer. Absurd.

"The rules meeting in the locker room was the most bizarre meeting I've ever had. He made me sit down face to face this close while we had the whole rules meeting.

He said, 'Any questions?' I said, 'No, sir, I'm good to go.'

Then he's like, 'You know, there are no elbows in this sport?' I was like, 'Yeah.'

He's like, 'Well, you come from MMA?' I said, 'I know, but I boxed before. Trust me, I'm good.'

And he's like, 'Yeah, but it's, it's in here.'

He's like getting in my face about it.

And I was like, 'I'm not gonna throw any elbows. It's boxing. I get it.'

You have to be nice because he's about to wreck your fight and you're thinking, do we already have a fucking problem?"

@AlBernstein A prime Holm didn't even fight in MMA. still became UFC champ which is amazing . A prime Holly is one of the greatest to ever do it .

I don't have an issue with Holm 6-4.

Personally I think it could've gone eitherway

I also had Han winning. Unfortunately too many people have their hard head minds made up and are going over the top with ",robbery" to me the fight couldve gone eitherway and I accept that. But to act like it was one way traffic is completely overboard. Draw or 6-4 eitherway.

I had it 96-94 Han from the arena. Han built up too big of an early lead. Holm came on strong down the stretch, but those scores were just about perfect.

@MatthewAguilar5 Holm didn’t do enough to win. She head butted early and did a cut and tried to attack the cut. I agree with the Judges and Matt. You must beat the Champ decisively and especially at the Champs Home. Unwritten rule of Boxing

Holly Holm looked like the best version of herself in years on Saturday night.

She didn't just get robbed of a decision. She got robbed of history.

Holly would have become the first fighter to win a world title after being inducted into the Boxing Hall of Fame, the second-oldest women's champion of all time, and a frontrunner for a historic showdown with Katie Taylor.

That's a brutal one.
