My feelings on being an artist in the age of AI. TLDR: I am not against AI tools, but like with any tool, we must be artists about it. Slop isn’t a failure of technology, it’s a failure of our responsibility to ourselves, and we can always take that back.

Your videogame version of Rollerball you were hoping for is this masterpiece @BillSimmons . Some differences, but vibe 100% intact @TheRewatchables

@Darren_Mooney The only thing I think is pretentious is people loving or hating something because they think it makes them look smarter, more special, or better than others. If you honestly dislike something, you don’t need to pose over it, and if you truly love a thing, pretense is impossible.
@rafcolantonio it might be my Game of the Year *because* it's not perfect. There is a bit of the-medium-is-the-message going on with this thing, and I feel like fixing bugs here might be like fixing the audio in Eraserhead.
@NolanAnalyst My son and I saw this at the Chinese theater in Hollywood on its re-release, and let me say that watching it with a packed crowd of Tenet-heads was one of the best theater experiences of my life
@Darren_Mooney it really might be one of the greatest films I’ve ever seen. Normally I’d rather let that idea steep for, I don’t know, 20 years? But every time I see it, I feel the same as I did after seeing Late Spring or Cool Hand Luke for the first time; it’s a milestone in my film life.
