I will never buy a book titled “Husband Is Useless.” Where exactly am I supposed to keep it in this house?

My father must never set eyes on that nonsense because the man is NOT useless to my mother or to us his children. I’d rather take that ₦9,500 and do a giveaway on the street for people who actually need it.

Husbands have suffered enough in this life.
The things they go through just to put food on the table, school fees, rent and still be expected to carry the entire weight of the home. Some of us still have fathers who showed up.

I work at a bakery. A bride came in three weeks before her wedding to finalize her cake order.

Her fiancé has a severe tree nut allergy, and she wanted to make absolutely sure before she signed off on anything.

I checked with our head baker. Confirmed nut free.

Wrote "NO NUTS, GROOM ALLERGY" in bold on the order sheet myself.

Taped a copy to the box on pickup day so there'd be zero confusion.

The day before the wedding, her maid of honor came to grab the cake instead of the bride.

I walked her through the setup instructions and asked if she had any questions.

She said no. She was good.
