Altitude

On the Shiga-Kusatsu Road at Japan’s highest national highway point. Volcanic gas rose from Mt. Shirane as clouds drifted at eye level. An incredible drive—I’d love to return on a clearer day.

R252 六十里越峠を再訪。峠ステッカー目当てで走ったものの、隧道やスノーシェッド、終盤のヘアピンに加え片側交互通行も多く、なかなかの険しさ。暗い隧道と幅員減少、ダンプには要注意。峠は安全��一で。
