Sorry, don’t trust the certification process. Guess the NCAA doesn’t trust it either because the NCAA maintains an official Bat Testing Protocol (updated December 2025) that mandates testing for all regular-season and postseason competition. All non-wood bats used in games must:
• Appear on the current NCAA Approved Bat List.
• Pass a visual inspection.
• Pass a barrel ring test (checks maximum diameter of 2⅝ inches and ensures the barrel is not misshapen or flattened).
• Pass a barrel compression test (using a specialized device, typically a G4 SSL or similar barrel compression tester).
Again, we know too much. But all good, it should be a fun ride. Think we are done with this topic. Good luck to all the young men hoping to get their name called in the draft over the next 36 hours!
Owned an aluminum bat company, been to the testing center (US) and also the factory who produces the bat in China. Do you know the process of testing the bat when it gets to the US? Likely not based on some of the comments. Unless testing is going to be made available and enforced at the game level, this is dangerous. We know too much unfortunately and we know the financial influence behind it. -6? Isn’t that ironic? Nobody has ever made a drop 6. Why not use the -5? Because nobody can make money doing that. -6: it’s different, it’s new, it’s got more teeth in the ad space and marketing spectrum. But love the feedback, just don’t agree with it. It’s okay for some of us to disagree (I think).
@BViars3@DulinsTX@uiltexas There would be little difference in performance between an extreme end load -6 and a balanced -3. What matters is MOI, not the drop. Drop is just a loose proxy for MOI. Either way they all have to pass the .5 COR test and COR dominates MOI for effect on performance.
Embarrassment to baseball. Maybe one of the most irresponsible things we have seen enacted in the game in a LONG time. @uiltexas needs to create their own rules and boycott this. Unsafe and irresponsible.

👀 TOP #uncommitted LHH CAN CATCH, TOO
Here's a look at @dulins_dodgers and Frenship 2027 standout Mason Fritz (@MasonFritz18) behind the dish at the #MattinglyWS.
Had a terrific week, again, with the bat and showed in addition to being a SS/3B, he can catch and throw, too. Major prospect.

Good look here at @dulins_dodgers 17U Cowser's Jace Schull (@Jace_Schull). The switch pitcher dominated in his start at the #MattinglyWS, pounding the zone and striking out 8 in 4.1 shutout innings.
