为什么中共长期打压和控制基督教？

因为真正独立于政治权力之外的信仰，会提醒人们：国家不是最高权威，领袖不是最高权威，政治组织也不是最高权威。

而极权主义最害怕的，恰恰是这种“不承认政治权力拥有终极权威”的思想。

它试图让国家成为社会的最高权威，让政治组织定义真理，让权力决定什么可以相信、什么可以说、什么可以思考，甚至试图把人的终极忠诚纳入政治体系。

但基督教告诉我们：

“除我以外，你不可有别的神。”

“我就是道路、真理、生命。”

因此，国家不是神，领袖不是神，政党不是神，意识形态也不是神。

人的尊严来自上帝，而不是来自政府的恩赐；人的良知属于上帝，而不是属于政治组织。

国家可以制定法律、维护秩序、治理社会，但它不能成为人的良知、思想和灵魂的最终主人。

当一个政治组织要求人把终极忠诚交给它，当它要求人把它当成真理的最终来源，我们就必须警惕：

政治权力正在越过自己的边界，开始扮演“神”的角色。

而对于基督徒而言，这条界线不能被跨越。

因为我们���以尊重国家、遵守法律、为执政者祷告，但我们的最终忠诚只能属于上帝。

人可以有国家，但不能把国家当成上帝；可以有政府，但不能让政府成为自己的灵魂。
