There's another aspect at play as well - your law enforcement and judicial system generally holds the monopoly on force. The conviction rate is something like 99%, the police are armed, and present.

The US generally doesn't have Koban, the nearest police officer might be 30+ min away by car (at speed) if you live in the country or not available due to staffing shortages in the city. And that's BEFORE accounting for gun violence - In the country, wildlife with rabies is enough of a threat to allow guns. In a lot of cities they're heavily restricted but the conviction rates here are much lower so the deterrent is much less.

10-15 years ago I didn't mind, because the only ones who tried to use it made an effort to be discrete, respectful, and not draw attention to their situation.

Nowadays I'm firmly against it because there's so many who feel ENTITLED to the space no matter how badly they fail to pass or how little effort they make to do so. Many are disrespectful when asked to wait because children are in there, and demand to be noticed taking up space and shoving it in everyone's face for internet clout.

If "the community" can't or won't police their own anymore, Women need to enforce their protections or we'll lose them to entitled men.

But we already have commonly accepted modifiers like "surrogate", "biological", and "donor" that work better. No matter what method a homosexual or Trans couple uses it's always only 1 egg/1 sperm per child. Whatever 'mixing' method is used- genetically it's always going to come down that way and it can be tested to prove. There is ZERO need for this other than as a shibboleth.
