Tims is a Canadian company - headquartered with 600 people in downtown Toronto; the restaurants are owned by Canadians; and the 4,000 Tims restaurants across Canada are one of the largest employers of Canadians in the country. The TFW topic gets most of the attention, but Tims is one of Canada's biggest employers of Canadians - it's a fact.

Because they are chasing guests through parking lots with cameras in their face when they're being asked not to; they are harassing young team members who are feeling intimidated coming into work - imagine if someone was doing that to one of your kids just going in to do their shift. No company in the country would allow this behaviour on their property.

3G Capital owns 21% of the company's shares - which is less than what is collectively owned by Canada's banks and Canada's pension fund. I think the more important point is 1500 Canadians who have invested their savings into building and updating 4,000 Tims restaurants across Canada and being one of the largest employers of Canadians in the country

I would say that's a bad experience for this 18 year old and everyone deserves at least a call back if you have applied for a job. I'm sorry that they didn't a call back - they should have. If you want to have that 18 year old email me at [email protected] and let me know where he/she lives, I will put them in touch with the closest restaurants because our owners are in the middle of a local hiring campaign and need team members.

We have 1500 Canadian franchisees that own Canada's 4,000 restaurants. We have our headquarters in downtown Toronto; we own distribution centres across Canada as well as our coffee roastery in Ontario; the large majority of everything in our restaurants is bought from Canadian suppliers ($1.6 billion a year); we give back more to Canadian communities than almost any other company in the country. Respectfully, I think we're objectively one of the most Canadian companies in the country.

Our restaurant owners pay the same, competitive wages as other restaurants and retailers in their community. There is no government subsidy or benefit to hiring outside the community - which is why 96% of all positions have been hired locally. It's way easier and preferred to hire locally - and is why we're looking for 10,000 new local team members.

Any Canadian can buy shares in the company like many have.
