@J17apologetics @shawnRwillson If Ephesians 1:1-12 only applies to the apostles, does that mean that we are not adopted as sons and daughters? Were we not corporately chosen in him before the world?

@J17apologetics @shawnRwillson The Bible teaches that believers will receive new, glorified bodies at the resurrection (1 Corinthians 15, Philippians 3:21). Old Testament patriarchs, like Abraham, didn’t seem to get glorified bodies during their lifetimes, but are promised future resurrection (Daniel 12:2).

2. Even if he’s talking about those from the past, it doesn’t make sense - because even they have NOT been glorified yet; not until the resurrection.

STOLE = past tense
Would survive = future

There’s nothing wrong with this grammar. It doesn’t require me to change anything. Right?

@J17apologetics @shawnRwillson I watched you video on Romans 8. It’s great, but I’m not sure how you get “foreknown” to mean formerly known. It seems like a major stretch to me- to be honest. “He would be the firstborn” still fits perfectly fine without that logic.

There can only be one right translation. And there can only be one right answer. What do you think?

@J17apologetics Other translations say, “So that I may show you my power.” Also, “I have raised you up” has also been translated to “I allowed you to remain” which makes more sense in context.

*“I could’ve destroyed you, but I kept you alive so that I may show you my power.”
