@MoonzyFur I wouldn't know because I don't use tiktok but I think sharing useful tips for people who maybe didn't get shown this stuff growing up is pretty cool and a good use of social media
@llnevermeetirl Yea valid, I got issues with people who don't make that stuff clear but expect it anyway and get mad when they don't get it. That's been my experience with people sadly, and I reckon a lot of the upset people in the comments got a similar history, so maybe that's why people mad
@llnevermeetirl Yeah that's valid, proper goodbye can be lots of things
I only got a problem with being expected to smile when I am burnt out cuz it's something that I think everyone else expects from me and I would be upset if my friends did the same but that's more of a personal issue lmao
@llnevermeetirl Obviously not saying goodbye is kinda lame and rude, no matter how drained you are. But smiling is a bit more like how I get treated at work, at uni, in public by weirdos... It'd suck if my friends expected me to perform that smile too. That's my ten cents really
@llnevermeetirl Idk when I am around my friends I don't mask anymore. I think excepting someone to force a smile when you can achieve the same with a short conversation and a quick hug is just reinforcing the idea they gotta mask around you yknow? I don't see it as rude but that's just me tbh
"We all perish." We won't. But I understand the fear. The number IS big. So let's fix the REASONS it's big instead of cutting the people who need it.
1,000 claims a day. WHY?
NHS waiting list: 7.6 million. People untreated for 18 months. Deteriorating. Becoming disabled WHILE WAITING. Fix the waiting list โ claims drop.
Workplaces designed to exclude. Open plan, fluorescent, keystroke-monitored, zero adjustments. The neurodivergent person burns out and leaves.
Make remote work the DEFAULT where possible and watch what happens. The person who can't survive an office CAN work from a quiet room at home.
No commute cost. No sensory overload. No Doris and the thermostat. They stay employed. They don't claim.
Disability costs 300-1400% more than it should. The grab rail at ยฃ85 instead of ยฃ8. The cane at ยฃ59 instead of ยฃ15.
Fix the markup PIP doesn't need to cover artificial inflation. The award amount drops because the COSTS drop.
Housing causing illness. Damp. Mould. Cold. Creating respiratory conditions, mental health crises, and chronic pain. Fix the housing the conditions don't develop the claims don't happen.
Every one of those REDUCES the 1,000/day. Without cutting support. Without "perishing."
The number goes down because fewer people NEED it. Not because you stopped helping the people who do.
Remote work alone could be transformational. The person with anxiety who can't face the commute CAN face a laptop at their kitchen table.
The wheelchair user who can't access the office CAN access Zoom. The parent-carer who can't leave the house CAN work between caring duties.
Support remote work. Fix the NHS. Fix housing. Fix the markup. The 1,000/day becomes 500/day. Then 300/day. Because the CAUSES were fixed. Not the people.

Hot take but sometimes you need to be absent in other people's lives so you can be present in your own. Sometimes we give way too much for others while giving nothing to ourselves
