@ymsc420 @lyovson @caifyoca@tsoding@7etsuo The government does not sponsor Rust. All programming languages have rules, and programmers do not instinctively fight against rules in programming languages.
The more I read economics books the less confident I am in any economic forecast ever. It was only in like 2012 that we compiled a decent financial history since the industrial revolution.
There are people who make popular claims that if applied retroactively don't make sense.
Sometimes I think I want to write about things. Then I don't write about them and I forget them. Makes it pretty easy to continue not writing because I forgot about the last time I wanted to.
@lauralondon_ @gedougen I don't think I'm mentally built for this sort of mass sentiment manipulation, it takes a deeper understanding of humanity than I have and I think that my autism would make it really hard for me to figure it out.
@lauralondon_ @gedougen What mechanics do you think caused us to be anti-nuclear? Fear? I guess if we can sufficiently scare people with climate change then policy change can ensue. I guess I'm somewhat idealistic hoping that we can use other means that are less ~evil~
@lauralondon_ @gedougen That's true and also cool. It's really sad the current state of the nuclear industry. In the US, Three Mile Island caused such a setback and was caused by an immense amount of greed and cowardice from a large number of people.
Sufficiently large systems always seem to get into a chicken egg problem with their outcomes being bad because of the core infrastructure but their core infrastructure can't be fixed because of the bad outcomes.
