@CoachDistance Agree with @realcoachgreen attend meets and attend practice.
Trying something new this year. Offer a ms track camp so they can try and having hs athletes work it
Doing a community fun run and inviting our ms and elementary school kids.
@RunCoachTripp So agree with you even with the restriction of 3 entries per athlete trying to get a whole team. JV times is difficult. It is getting better more and more are doing 5 ways with 10 or less with only limits on field events
So with US Track and Field Champs this week. My question is since the acceptance of the NCAA Settlement. How many track and cross country programs have been cut?
How many athletes have been cut for roster limits?

Parent Reminder: Coaches are human beings, and we all make mistakes. When we take the whistle off, we are husbands/wives and parents as well. Most of our families would appreciate it if we quit coaching altogether. Instead, we sacrifice time with our own kids to be with yours.
Before you decide to openly complain about a coach, think about all of the positive that he/she does and the sacrifices that they make to help not just your child, but also the potential relationships/ mentoring happening with hundreds of other kids.
While your questions, confusion, and frustrations may be justified...give your coach a break. Yes, I'm sure there are some sickos out there, but 98.99% of us only agree to coach because we are passionate about a sport that may have changed our lives and/or have a calling to help others live out their dreams.
When you are frustrated because Coach Boone didn't mention your kids name in the newsletter, give him a break.
When you are angry that your kid didn't get to play very many minutes in the game, give him a break.
When you are confused as to why the kids don't run or work hard enough in practice, give him a break.
Instead of complaining on social media or in the stands on game day...shoot an email to the coach and schedule a time to chat about the program and your child.
When it comes to playing time, be sure to come watch your kid in practice for a week or so. Usually, if parents come see their kid in action...the email and meeting won't be needed.
Today, tomorrow, and forever is now officially recognized as National Coach Appreciation Day(s).
Less complaining and more appreciation, please and thank you. The coaches deserve it!
Support the Desert Mountain Track and Field team. We need your support to go to meets, replace and repair equipment. Ant amount will help
