1. If we really wanted to end this, we would have sent in U.S. troops.
2. Russia would probably withdraw for 50% of what we have wasted on Ukraine so far.
3. Once over, the U.S. will finance a decade or more of reconstruction.

I would forfeit everything I have paid into it, and all benefits I am owed, if I could instead put future withholding equivalents into personal savings and investments.
