@Mill3nnialmh I think it’s fair to say that ND people are more drawn to other ND people than NT’s. This makes sense if you think about it, as they are more likely to feel understood and accepted and certainly share the experience of feeling “different”.
@Feehlo@jamesldowns Or the sudden enormous growth spurt inadvertently means they can’t keep up with their calorie needs and it is that deficit/plunge in BMI that sets the ED in motion?

@Feehlo@jamesldowns Also, pre-puberty, before such a huge growth spurt and gaining so much strength, most boys naturally build up some fat stores in order to do all that growing- they may perceive themselves to be chubby/not muscular enough?
@hariboshoes@AnorexiaMyths Sorry- I didn’t remotely mean to imply that people with ED’s don’t genuinely have preferences/allergies etc, more agreeing with you- that having to avoid anything (and be more aware of labels etc) can be very difficult in not exacerbating an ED/being a gateway to restriction.
