I've seen exactly 36 Colin Farrell movies and exactly 36 Brendan Gleeson movies. If you add up my star ratings for each of them, they come out to the exact same number. I think that's beautiful. #ForeverInBruges
Pixar's ELIO looks to be headed below $25M--which would be the worst wide Pixar debut of all time.
The original TOY STORY and ELEMENTAL both opened with $29M.
And since neither infinity nor beyond seems to be in the cards, you can consider my current (for now) Pixar Ranked List to be closed and completed: https://t.co/nyhSozvWQk So long, @DisneyStudios@Pixar. It's been real. Care more.
ELIO will be the first theatrical Pixar film I don't see in theaters since I missed A Bug's Life in 1998, 27 years ago! "Why aren't you seeing #Elio, Luke?", you ask. Because at some point in the past 6 months, someone decided to stop inviting me to Disney press screenings.
with a mix of new reflections and revisits of my original reviews. You can enjoy those on Letterboxd, where I hope you've been following me for new reviews every weekday: https://t.co/wjKgPuovnA
I finally watched Howards End, which means I have at last seen every movie @TheAcademy nominated for Best Picture in the '90s. Here is my obligatory list ranking all 50: https://t.co/RI9w8FhJwB #Oscars#1990s
Giant 🙄 at @DisneyStudios. Everyone else, join the thousands who have followed me on Letterboxd, where I will be reviewing plenty, but not the latest $180 million shrug of a Marvel movie: https://t.co/xgYFOZdCMs
Imagine creating https://t.co/UcFfRgWXFQ in 2002, being an accredited film critic attending advance press screenings since 2011, and NOT being invited to Disney screenings in 2025. Never assume anyone has any clue about anything. Nobody cares. Everyone is trying to do the least.
It's my 14th award season as a voting member of @ofcs and it's far from a banner year. Here's what I have been sent to date, too many of them as links without a proper set-top app: https://t.co/MsYXuM0vxY #Oscars2025
The biggest highlight has been the annual DVD bundle from @neonrated, a guaranteed bright spot of the past eight awards seasons. I've loved watching Neon grow and thrive in a challenging climate. Every year this comes, I wish they'd screen their films in theaters for critics!
Today brings two of my most anticipated films of 2024 from two of my all-time favorite directors and one of my all-time favorite actors. And yet neither Here nor Juror #2 screened for critics in advance by me, so I guess you can just assume they're terrible. #HereMovie#Juror2
