@klseaboldt The only area I disagree is Ercerg continuing to close. Doing the same over and over is insanity and they refuse to make adjustments. That’s a reflection of organizational leadership. Whether that is Q, JJ or owner, is it too much to ask that the Royals be around 500
@Royals Makes no difference when your bullpen is trash and Q runs Ercerg out who can’t hold a lead. Love the Rs but the bullpen failures are killing this team
@heitner I’m amazed of the number of athletes who sign deals without legal representation. As an atty who reviews NIL agreements agree with your assessment
@SouthwestAir you just lost me for future travel. Conference ends early, request standby, Gate agent says $200. Whomever the VC bean counters are, you just lost a customer of 40 years. @Delta@united you’ll get my business
@klseaboldt Lose 2 in NYC they’re in trouble, sweep and they’re DOA, Past 25 years except 14-15 it’s more about promo & mktg than product on field & dudes without winning mentality. It’s hard to watch & hard as fan 2 spent money on them. At least the Chiefs w Andy 15 87 95 lead and compete,
@goldbergkc Except the bullpen is a mess. I can’t imagine trying to cover this team and looking for positives. Keep your head up, hope they win one in NYC or the season could be on life support when you get back to KC.
One word in a contract could decide an $18.7M battle.
In this KC Star interview, I highlighted how the word “reasonable” may shape the legal fight over K-State Coach Jerome Tang’s firing.
Next week on my podcast Shifting the Power Balance, I will break things down in depth:
Spent last 24 hours reviewing Tang’s contract, Fed/St laws @TomMarsLaw. Morals clause 2 term Tang sets KSU on collision course impacts 2 climate culture recruiting, U relations; X can’t do justice to the depth of argmts Mars has & damage @KSTATEADGT & Pres may have done 2 KSU.
@TomMarsLaw@SorenPetro KSU alum, Attorney- potentially claims
Firing 4 cause subject to KJRA - Breach of Contract & Tort Damages
Discrimination - KHRC & EEOC Title 6 & 7 Civil Rights
1983 Claims - AD-Taylor & Linton (individual personal liability
@PeteThamel Tang and his attorneys potential claims
Firing 4 cause subject to KJRA - Breach of Contract & Tort Damages
Discrimination - KHRC & EEOC Title 6 & 7 Civil Rights

Why KSU should have settled b4 stating 4 cause
@franfraschilla As a labor attorney & KSU fan, GT public comments about Tangs firing 4 cause 4 comments will cost KSU K+ damages. KSU FB loss to Utah see Kli comments - Kli went directly after fans/donors & GT said I got ur back. AD treats 1 coach diff than other is a T7 discrim case
@iamtimeverson The lawyer in me says KSU used this as negotiating strategy to lower the payout. My belief is while this is being publicly reported, the parties have agreed on a # & NDAs are in place so only a few people know the actual #
