@BenOndaTop Even pre-injury and pre-post season start (close to irrelevant due to sample size) my biggest concern with Brown has always been pitch count. Even in a great start it is too often 5 or 6 innings instead of 6-8 due to pitch count. So I’m hesitant to use my #1 starter money on him.

@michaelschwab13 Count deferrals in the current year calculated as 100% AAV of the actual contract (not the $2M paid in non-deferred money to Ohtani per year, for example) and 50% in the deferred year with an adjustment for inflation and tax thresholds. Retroactive to 2026.
