Full-scale debates probably can't happen in the classroom every day, but small activities that draw on the power of debate can—and have an excellent impact on engagement and learning.
@edutopia Taking time to acknowledge when students are using good processes when working in class. Talking to the class as a whole and tell them I appreciate their effort and concentration. Comment on the good far more than the bad.
