Matt Damon reveals that they shot ‘THE ODYSSEY’ chronologically so filming the final scene was “very emotional.”
“For months and months I had typed the final scene into my phone and I just carried it around, not on set because there’s no phones on set.”
I'm going to repeat what I've said elsewhere.
He’s deliberately missing the point. When I’m watching an epic movie I want the dialogue to carry the gravitas and depth befitting the source material and the epoch the story originates from.
If I’m watching a movie about the Siege of Osaka I don’t want the samurai speaking like they’re from Akihabara, nor do I want knights at Agincourt talking like road men. It’s that simple.
I can’t be the only one who watched this moment in SUPERGIRL and assumed Lobo said:
“See ya, tits.”
Apparently, he’s saying “ditz”? Maybe that whole thing needed a big redraft 😭😭
Giggling and goofiness is always performative. These types always try to signal to others how 'happy' they are, and how much 'fun' they're having –– no man will ever behave that way in the comfort of his own home.
Jestering and LARP.
Men who are comfortable with themselves tend not to do it naturally. That is the actual relaxed state.
The men who argue this typically perform so much they have no idea what that looks like.
