This semester has helped me gain knowledge about the context of occupation; covering social and occupational injustices, exploring the multiple levels (micro/meso/macro), the enablement foundations and how this is all applied to practice. #OENV18
As OT's, it is important to understand that the personal factors of the practice context, the enablement foundations and the critical awareness we apply to practice is what underpins and guides our practice to ensure that it allows for client-centred collaboration #OENV18
Such an interesting story shared by Mya this week in class and her experience with health professionals. Especially the importance of enablement foundations, such as power sharing from Occupational therapists along her journey; allowing for client-centered collaboration. #OENV18

What’s your view? Is it a great opportunity for inmates? Or is it providing a false sense of hope knowing they’ll never have the opportunity to preform an occupation they might find meaning behind once released? #OENV18 https://t.co/NLVkvDLMNQ
@lirvine_brown I completely agree, we are trying to place an occupational perspective on these sorts of situations and ensure we are trying to achieve occupational justice.
So many individuals are struggling with disabilities and this leaves them with a stigma that they’re unable to participate in occupations equally. Interesting read about social justice being taken amongst these individuals. #OENV18 https://t.co/iHLl4vrvNf
