If you're building a career in tech, daily reminder that 3 core principles make a successful career:
1. What you've done: Your portfolio
2. Who you are: Your cultural values
3. Who knows you: Your connections and network
If you lack one of these, you'll have a hard time in tech
5 years ago Deloitte Nigeria started the cybersecurity academy to train and keep their own cyber talents. People with zero experience were trained for over 2 years and sent to the field to work with top clients and that is how I got into cybersecurity.
You can’t stumble talents.
I am almost 40,
The best thing I ever did for my health wasn't
- Weight Training
- Zone 2 training
- Sprints
It was my return to Christ.
Lets have a GOOD Friday.
"You have no light at the airport, and I have to fly back within the next 10 minutes... To the victims, there's nothing I can give you but promise you this experience will not repeat itself."
Nigeria's President Bola Tinubu says that his government will do its best to support the victims.
Seyi Makinde and initial gragra 😄
He first did diesel powered streetlights when he assumed office.
But Umahi said this man is an electrician, why on earth would someone that studied Elect/Elect power streetlights with diesel when we have solar options?
In short, the streetlights didn’t last up to a year. The generators have disappeared everywhere 😂
Interesting Political Fact…
When a sitting U.S. senator dies, the governor of that state appoints a temporary replacement until an election is conducted, as provided by the Seventeenth Amendment.
In some states, the appointed senator serves until the next general election. In others, there are conditions that the replacement must be from the same party as the deceased.
In my view, the deceased senator’s party should conduct a primary election to choose the replacement, without the need for a general election.
Why do some neighbors always act like nothing concerns them when it comes to pumping water?
This morning, I woke up at 5am and was sitting in the backyard pressing my phone because there was still light.
By 6:15am, when I got up to get dressed for work, they had already taken the electricity.
The moment I stepped into the bathroom, I realized the water had run out. I was very pissed and had to go to another compound to fetch water to bathe.
There used to be a retired Navy officer living in our compound before he moved out in December.
He always pumped the water in the morning and evening, and sometimes I would do it if he wasn’t around, because the pump switch is in the corner of his house but anyone could reach it.
Since he left, I’ve mostly been the one pumping the water, and occasionally the new neighbor helps.
Yesterday, I didn’t pump water before leaving, and when I got home tired, I assumed someone else would have done it. Meanwhile, nobody cares.
The water ran out this morning and still hasn’t been pumped because there’s no electricity.
There are six flats in the compound, but no one seems to care if I didn’t pump the water.
Why are people like that?
GSM is given Oyo state workers extra funds for transport. This reminds me of PDP in all level, they will have declared large bonus for all Nigerians
APC cannot even blame anyone in Nigeria again after 10 years in power. Their own misrule and corruption is on another level
😁🤣
We never even dated. During the talking stage we both shared our expectations for a future spouse. Hers were very clear:
1. Her mother must live close by. She said that she couldn't afford to be distant from her mother.
2. She would cook only once a month. Everything would be pre-made, frozen, and self-serve. I would never ask her to plate food for me or the kids.
3. Court wedding was non-negotiable. When I brought up a prenup she refused outright.
4. I had to pay her a monthly allowance for personal upkeep and open a big business for her.
That was her complete list. The conversation ended right there.
Above all, love God.
The way APC & BAT & many of you were screaming CHANGE during GEJ times, you will think Nigeria would be paradise once they get to power but this is almost 10 years after.
😁 🤣 😂
