H.E Sayyid Ebrahim Raisolsadati arrived in the country this afternoon where we held welcome ceremonies and bilateral discussions leading to the signing of a number of MOU’s.
Uganda and The Islamic Republic of Iran have had good relations since the Islamic Revolution, our “common point” as our visitor aptly put it, being the anti-imperialist stand. This fundamental principle has taken us through years of cooperation and we look forward to strengthening and diversifying the same.
President @KagutaMuseveni and his counterpart H.E Ebrahim Raisi, the President of Iran will hold bilateral talks on Political and Economic/Trade relations between both countries.
Happy to join today H.E @KagutaMuseveni at @StateHouseUg as he received his visiting counterpart the President of Iran 🇮🇷.
The two leaders & their delegations discussed matters of mutual interest and agreed on Cooperation in areas of agriculture, trade, Visa exemptions among others .
I was particularly pleased to sign an MOU of agricultural cooperation with my counterpart the minister of Agriculture of Iran. The MOU provides for cooperation in areas of agricultural technologies that support precision farming & trade in food products.

I received a special message from the South Korean President, H.E Yoon Suk Yeol. It was delivered by his Special Envoy, Mr. Sungmin Jang at State House Entebbe.
In the beginning, we had relations with South Korea only, but later on, we linked up with North Korea and continue to have good relations with both.
I told Mr. Sungmin Jang that Uganda is always looking forward to the peaceful unification of Korea, like it was for Vietnam and Germany.
I congratulate Korea for rapidly transforming and welcome Korean companies to do business in Uganda.
