Tal vez no lo entiendas, pero por más valores o saber estar que las mujeres tengamos por nuestra educación, tener unos suegros que te llaman “puta” por tu forma de vestir, créeme que saca lo peor de ti
One of Maddy’s most recognizable traits throughout Euphoria is how openly aggressive and vulgar she can be, whether she’s joking around, arguing, or emotionally reacting to something. What’s interesting is that underneath all of that, Maddy actually has a very strong understanding of people, relationships, and how the world works socially. She has confidence, emotional awareness, street intelligence, and presence.
But one thing she clearly lacked was manners and emotional discipline. It’s obvious throughout the show that Maddy was never really taught politeness, restraint, or how to control her impulsive reactions in certain environments. And honestly, that becomes one of the biggest reasons she struggles to fully elevate herself socially despite having so many strengths as a person.
A perfect example is Nate’s family and the carnival episode. It wasn’t just that they disliked Maddy personally, they were also embarrassed by how impulsive, confrontational, and socially reckless she could be publicly. Maddy often reacts emotionally first and thinks later, which creates chaos around her constantly.
That’s honestly part of what makes her character so realistic and layered because she’s simultaneously emotionally intelligent in some areas while being completely self-destructive in others. #euphoria
