The Nigerian Air Force has two ATR 42-500MP aircraft, like the one in the picture.

They can stay airborne for 6 hours, so if both alternate, they provide 12 hours of coverage, day and night.

These are airborne Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) platforms. They serve as "eyes in the sky" using advanced sensors such as the Leonardo ATOS system and EO/IR cameras to detect and track insurgent activities (vehicles, groups of people, or small objects) over long distances.

In effect, they can loiter and spot terrorists on the ground. Acquired data and intelligence are processed and shared in real time with ground troops and other air assets, like Alpha Jets and L-39 fighters.

So the ATRs are airborne, detect insurgents, radio their locations to Air Force jets and helicopters, which then strike them.

How is Nigeria deploying them? I saw a video where a bunch of young VIPs were using them for VIP travel.

Yes, lets assume this was a one off, but how do we know?

Nigeria’s Pride in a Battle-Tested General

Nigeria is indeed fortunate to have a battle-tested warrior like Lieutenant General Waidi Shaibu as its Chief of Army Staff,  a man who has not only commanded from the front but has lived through the fire of battle.

As seen in the photo with Major General Abdul Khalipha during the Tura Takai Bango Operation in Sambisa Forest, General Shaibu represents courage, resilience, and leadership at its finest. He is no stranger to the thick of war from the heart of Sambisa to the treacherous swamps of Lake Chad, he has fought shoulder-to-shoulder with his men, confronting the most feared terrorists of ISWAP and Boko Haram. 

As a Colonel, he led the daring assault on Wulgo, spending days in the Lake Chad waters, where he was wounded in action  a scar that today stands as a badge of honour and proof of sacrifice for the nation’s unity and peace.

General Shaibu understands the battlefield because he has lived it. His presence at the helm inspires the troops and reassures Nigerians that the fight against terror is in steady, seasoned hands.

Yesterday during the Nigeria vs. Gabon game, while walking to the other side of the pitch after halftime, I saw some banners and placards, and I noticed some of them calling my name. I was like, do they have a Pooja Nation in Morocco?

But to my surprise, it was a very serious issue. Sigh.

One of the students said that the Nigerian Bilateral Education Agreement Scholars under the Federal Government have been abandoned in Morocco for over 15 months without payment.

The issue is so critical that they've lost one student to illness because they can't afford his medical bills.

I told them I would use my platforms to help them if the relevant authorities would see it.

The only reason why the Nigerian government is struggling so badly with this Trump fiasco is because Nigerian politicians are used to solving all their problems with rice, propaganda and DSS threats.

The problem however is
You can’t give Trump rice.
You can’t sell propaganda to Trump.
DSS cannot ever go near Trump.
And you surely cannot remove cameras to shoot Trump at Lekki Toll Gate.
