This is why I believe in due process. I’ll never participate in a media trial. They’re too often driven by bad faith actors looking to destroy their political opponents. Despite the pressure, it’s refreshing to see someone still doing actual journalism.
The sheer volume of American politics dedicated to sexual blackmail and MeToo hysteria is absolutely off the charts. We're ruled by unvetted accusations and social media gossip. And every faction is equally guilty. Can't let a mob dynamic go to waste.
@adamscochran What lol moderate or progressive is what will determine the race brother… i dont understand folks that take this stance that what the candidate runs on doesn’t matter… it didn’t work for kamala and wont work here!
@XochitlHinojosa Cant argue w/ your conclusion but i do think what’s being done now is making it about Maine voters. He could easily stay in the race but he’s making sure the policies Maine voters supported are represented w/ the next candidate which is admirable despite his personal shortcomings
@CheyenneHuntCA@ryangrim@DropSiteNews Folks are you are why these conversations get so much pushback and rejection it actually hurts things because any nuanced discussion turns into finger pointing and blame
@CheyenneHuntCA@ryangrim@DropSiteNews The reporting was not clear and consistent and that was the point! When someone’s livelihood is on the line the reporting has too be sharper that’s all the discussion was about. You’re over there pearl clutching about a conversation they did not have
@CheyenneHuntCA@ryangrim@DropSiteNews Huh? No it’s not. It was discussing the bad journalism. This type of tweet reduces their nuanced discussion into something sinister. If you didn’t watch the whole thing just say that! That both maintained that she was being honest and that Graham was still wrong.
Tell @MaineDems: Platner's progressive policies resulted in RECORD BREAKING TURNOUT. Mainers made it perfectly clear: they support Platner.
When he steps down, the right thing to do is replace Platner w/ an anti-imperalist progressive.
You install a corporate pro-Israel Neoliberal & there will be a revolt against the Maine Democratic Party and @TheDemocrats.
These people never gave a fuck about the victim, they just didn't want Platner and his policies and wanted to replace him no matter what. They are gonna fucking coronate a centrist and fucking lose to Collins
Platner believes he is innocent of the accusations, but he also understands how serious they are and the impact they’ll have on the race. It seems like he’s willing to step aside because his real goal was to defeat Collins. At the same time, he believes he was targeted by the establishment to force him out of the race. That’s why I think he doesn’t want to give the establishment what it wanted all along to push him out and replace him with an establishment candidate overriding the will of the voters
