Personal Account - Proud son of OG Ed Martin (RIP). In 2026, we “Fight Fight Fight” for USA and @POTUS Trump and celebrate @America250! Former Schlafly Eagle.
“For, as a New Englander, I recognize that the South is still the land of Washington, who made our Nation - of Jefferson, who shaped its directions - and of Robert E. Lee who, after gallant failure, urged those who had followed him in bravery to re-unite America in purpose and courage.” - John F. Kennedy, September 17, 1960
Every day I drive 20 minutes past cow fields and RV parks to work at a "rural" county hospital.
@AlexBerenson just exposed that NY Presbyterian - in Manhattan’s Upper East Side - classifies itself as "rural" too, scamming Medicare for larger reimbursements.
This is a travesty. Rural status keeps small-town hospitals alive: fewest resources, sickest patients, and massive uncompensated costs from illegals (20-40% of patients on any given day).
Margins are razor-thin, exec pay modest (mostly low six figures, some higher).
Meanwhile, NY Presby rakes in $11B+ revenue, pays its CEO $22M, and funds a massive complex of DEI programs, NGOs, and a gender clinic for kids.
The issue is not the massive profit margin itself but that big city giants are scamming a program that is essential for the rural hospitals that actually need it.
Hopefully someone in DC can do something about it but I won't hold my breath.
He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things has passed away.
Revelations 21:4
This is an excerpt from James Monroe's 1823 State of the Union address. It's mostly known today because of the "Monroe Doctrine" - but he also noted the dramatic increase in the US population since the founding, which was not from immigration but people having a lot of kids.
How about something a little different from the outrage of the moment. The Monroe doctrine - which is contained in Monroe's 1823 State of the Union address - didn't just forbid Europeans from interfering in our hemisphere. It promised not to interfere in European affairs:
President Trump’s cleanout of the Election Assistance Commission is probably the first of many such firings after the Supreme Court’s ruling in Trump v. Slaughter. https://t.co/j9Jo0YVLpN via @WSJopinion
For one of you will scarcely die for a righteous person - though perhaps for a good person you might even dare to die.
But God shows His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

🇪🇺 The EU just passed Chat Control 1.0 in Brussels.
Platforms can now scan your private messages again, officially "voluntary," in practice blanket surveillance.
Here's the democratic scandal: 314 MEPs voted against it. Only 276 voted for it.
It passed anyway... because an absolute majority of all MEPs was required to reject it, not just a majority of those present.
More people voted no than yes. It still passed.
Pushed through on an urgent procedure just before summer recess, when absences are highest and attention is lowest.
This is how rights disappear folks. Not in one dramatic moment, but in procedural fine print, on a slow news day, while everyone's looking at Tehran.

Oustanding.
"Under Blanche’s leadership, approximately 16,000 employees have left, and departures aren’t slowing down. They include FBI agents and analysts in field offices across the country, and more than a quarter of the department’s attorneys."
Also interesting to note that about half of the signers have been out of the DOJ for 20 years or more. Some left DOJ in the 1980s. Not exactly an impressive group to say the least.
3/ My sentence? FOUR MONTHS in federal prison — every day of which I served, at age 74 — plus a $9,500 fine.
Nearly double Dugan's fine. For a misdemeanor. She committed a felony and never saw the inside of a cell.
We woke up to the news that President Trump fired the two Democrat members of the Election Assistance Commission (EAC), and with it, received the resignation of the one remaining Republican.
Now comes the opportunity to place an entirely new EAC with realistic goals for helping secure elections. The three main impacts of this move are detailed in today’s newsletter, linked in first comment below:
I had hip replacement surgery this morning, the product of eight years running counter clockwise in prison.
I feel great!
