@_nomadic_soul I have gone where the sky is blue! I have lots of editor friends there, along with politics and some COVID conscious folks and others, but I'm missing the deconstruction/prog. Christian friends, so I need to see if others from that group are there.

@CantonWiner SO MUCH. Before marriage? Anything that leads to arousal is shameful. After marriage? (After years of shutting down any arousal that did exist?) You should be ready for sex all the time (and now feel guilt and shame about not being so). It's a self-dooming cycle.

@Dr_MaeForrest Ahh, how awful. We left our church to avoid that experience (J was the associate pastor when this kind of guy was hired), but we hated that the elders wouldn't listen and protect the congregation. The guy only stayed 18 months, but that doesn't really make it better. 😭

@iamthejubster @_nomadic_soul My now-husband started writing me letters regularly when we were around 15. But yeah, almost never have crushes, never celeb crushes. I can feel aroused but it feels random and just a feeling rather than attached to anyone specifically, except sometimes with strong connections.

@iamthejubster @_nomadic_soul Ah, the "friendship crushes" where I thought I had a crush but I was just shy and wanted to be friends and the thought of things getting physical was uncomfortable. 😂 Only middle school relationship thing I had was a guy I had literally known our whole lives.

@Billieiswriting Exactly, and as you said, then does more harm by emphasizing the distinctions.
Like, there is enough momentum now that MU is not going to go right at all, probably some left, but the alum see that as an even bigger vibe imbalance because they have moved right.
